HERBS THAT MAY SUPPORT FERTILITY
MACA ROOT
Traditionally used for centuries, maca is valued for its ability to help the body adapt to physical and emotional stress. As an adaptogenic herb, it supports healthy stress resiliences which is important because chronic stress can interfere with hormone balance and reproductive function.
LICORICE ROOT
Licorice root is often incorporated into fertility protocols for its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to help regulate androgen levels. Elevated androgens and persistent inflammation can contribute to ovulatory dysfunction and other fertility challenges in some women.
FOODS THAT PROMOTE REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
CHINESE RED DATES (JUJUBES)
Often referred to as one of TCM's most nourishing foods, Chinese red dates help to replenish Qi and Blood. They also provide Vitamin C and other nutrients that support reproductive wellness in both women and men.
WALNUTS
Walnuts are packed with healthy fats, particularly omega-3 fatty acids and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). These nutrients play an important role in hormone production, egg quality, sperm health and overall reproductive function.
FATTY FISH
Cold water fish such as salmon, sardines and albacore tuna are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which helps reduce inflammation and support healthy ovulation. Regular consumption may contribute to improved reproductive health for those trying to conceive.
BEANS AND LENTILS
Beans and lentils are excellent sources of plant based protein, fiber and folate. These nutrients help to support balanced hormones, healthy blood sugar regulation and optimal reproductive function, making them a valuable addition to a fertility focused diet.
